Archived Works

I’ve kept the archive images on the site because I have a lot of images of pieces that I seldom build now, such as cabinets. I still do closed cabinets, but as custom pieces only. The older pieces give a sense of perspective on how my work has changed over time. I never really abandon basic design elements, but express them in different ways. When you have a large volume of work, it is hard to remember all of the individual pieces. The occasional trip through the archives often inspires new pieces, revising older forms with new sensibility. A lot of the work was commissioned: hence a response to specific requirements, yet those pieces can still help provide solutions to current challenges. An archive is not just history, but a design element catalog also.
